The stands were empty; but in just a few hours--the whole town would fill them. The first game of the season was finally here and Haley was excited for a number of reasons. Haley was standing in the center of the gym, staring out at the bleachers. Like she was playing, like she was cheering. Smiling as she turned for a moment to see a basketball near her. It would probably be the ball used in the game--but at the moment, it was hers. She smiled as she walked over to it. Never did she understand what made this game so special--it was a bunch of people running up and down a court and shooting hoops while trying not to get elbowed in the face. Haley didn't understand it; but she did understand that Nathan loved the game.
She knew that now. She always knew that and knew that basketball was a number one thing to him. She smiled as she lightly dribbled the ball, trying not to use to hands for what Nathan tried to teach her, meant that it was a double dribble. However, Haley couldn't keep the ball under control with just one hand and she didn't get how fast these players ran while keeping a ball that could bounce higher than them; were able to.
She walked over to the hoop, staring at the red rim. Not something that she could ever do. Never had Haley really been able to make a shot. It wasn't that she sucked; well..she did but she didn't have the hand-eye coordination that was needed. As she lifted the ball, her ring shimmered a little in the dim gym lights and it put a smile on her face. She stopped in that postilion, the ball held over her head as she looked at it; a simple of the love that she shared with Nate. She smiled as she lifted the ball out of her hands and watched as it was going for the basketball, but fell just a few centimeters short of the basketball. She laughed slightly as she turned around as a figure was at the door...watching her. [/blockquote]

All the pressure from the crowd was coming down on top of Nathan now. He was the Captain, and was suppose to lead his team to the Championship. He knew he could do it, but it was a mere fact that now that he was in fact married who did he care for more? Lucas complained alot that basketball came before Haley. Nathan isn't stupid, and realizes it. But, he didn't know what to do. He sighed, and walked down the halls toward the gym. He might as well practice some before the game. He was hundred percent positive that they would win, but their was always a chance of losing for once.
He walked to the door, and opened it. He held it open for a minute, and saw someone trying to shoot a basket. He recognized, the hair, the cloths, the laugh any were. It was is wife, he smiled, and watched her. She was so care free on what people thought about their relationship together. Nathan smiled a small smile when she turned around and saw him. Nathan walked to wards her, "Well, hello there Mrs. Scott." Nathan walked to the basketball, and got it. He bounced it off the ground and held it in his hands, and watched Haley.

Haley was standing there, looking at the figure. The moment that he began to walk towards her; she knew it was her husband. He was so tall that he was hard to miss. He also had a presence with him that Haley couldn't ignore even if she wanted to; and she never did. Haley always knew that Nathan was a good person. He was honest, sweet and so caring and attentive towards what Haley needed and wanted. All she ever needed or wanted was him. She smiled as she heard him and knew that this pressure of the game was getting to Nathan. It was the first game. She smiled as she watched him walk towards the ball and spoke.
His voice was something that she loved. It calmed her, it soothed her; it helped her to do anything that had to be done. She smiled and responded Hello Mr. Scott. What brings you here? The game isn't for another 4 hours she asked with a smile as she looked at the ball in his hands. She walked over to the ball that was in his hands and grabbed it. She smiled as she dribbled it a few times and shot it, letting it go through the net and she yelped Yes!!! I think you are now my good luck charm. she said with a laugh as she watched the ball roll to the other side of the court. She looked around for a moment.
Haley was excited for the game. Nathan was ready rather he thought he was or not. She smiled as she walked over to him and took his hand in hers as she looked around and said Nervous? she then wanted to take back the question. Of course he was, it was game. It was the season now. Haley sighed for a moment. Her hair was down, straight, but still classy. Her cheerleader uniform was on with trackpants for it was a rather cold day. She smiled as she looked up at him. Haley then adverted her gaze as she looked around; in 4 hours; the whole town and the school would be cheering Nathan and Lucas on and Haley would be cheering too.[/sup][/blockquote]

Nathan shrugged slightly. He didn't know why he stressed over the games so much anymore. Winning was good, but it wasn't everything anymore. Nathan was married, and was going to have to settle down sooner or later whether he liked it or not. Nathan looked down at the floor, then realized Haley took the ball. He smirked slightly, and then chuckled, " Well, then your my luck charm." Nathan watched the ball for a moment roll to the other end of the court. He figured, that he was ready for the games and would push off practicing for a while.
Nathan put his hands into Haley's and smiled. "Not really. As long as Dan's not their, I'm fine." Nathan for some reason hated his father being at his games. It annoyed him, and his father disapproved of him and Haley being married from the start. Nathan followed Haley's gaze, he knew in a couple more hours their were be people in the stands some cheering, others booing the Ravens. "So, what are you doing here?" Nathan knew Haley most of the time was with Brooke and Peyton before games, but that has seemed to change now, though he really didn't mind.
Nathan gently swung his and Haley's hand back and forth and thought for a moment. He knew alot of people wanted to come to the wedding to see it and support him. Nathan had no clue, who would come. He knew his father wouldn't so he wasn't even going to waste his breath on trying to ask him to come.

Haley smiled sweetly as she heard him and looked around too. She knew that people didn't approve her and Nathan's marriage; like Dan and Deb. Nathan's parents. She would have loved to get to know her and be the in-laws that she knew that they could be. However it seemed, that wasn't ever going to be possible. She let a sigh escape her glossed lips as she turned her gaze back to the gorgeous blue eyes that always captivated her. Her almond colored irises seemed to be caught in his eyes for just a moment until he spoke and smiled a little. Don't you have a restraining order? He wouldn't break that. I am 100 percent sure that you will be the best...and hottest player out there Haley had a very sweet heart. However, Nathan brought out a flirtacious side of her and she showed it at times. She looked at tha basketball at the other end of the court. She would always be supportive of the sport that was in Nathan's heart way before she was. Haley knew that he wanted to play college ball and she would follow--no matter where.
She watched as he swung their hands back and forth and she smiled as she looked up at him. He was about a head taller than her--but that didn't matter at all. His heart was bigger than he knew and Haley loved all his little quirks and his little habits. She smiled sweetly as she heard him ask something and said On my way home, and stopped in here.. she said as she walked closer to him, putting an arm around his waist as she looked around the gym one more time. It was the first game and the whole town was turning up for it; hopefully not Dan though. She let another small sigh escape her lips as she thought of the wedding.
Who was going to be invited? She and Nathan never even talked about it. Of course Brooke, Peyton, and Lucas were invited and their parents. However, there was a lot to tink back too. She wanted to send an invite to the in-laws; it was their's sons wedding after all. She looked up at him as he was looking like he was concentrating on something and she spoke What are you thinking about? she didn't even look at him--she just sensed that he was thinking..[/sup][/blockquote]

Nathan would never understand why his parents weren't supportive of their decision. Karen was, and she wasn't even related to Nathan. He knew Karen had Haley's best interest at heart, and knew it was what she wanted. Nathan knew most of the people at school disagreed, but he really didn't care about them. All their friends agreed, and were glad to see the two of them happy together.
"True, but it's my dad he will do whatever it takes to make me a star. Yea, I known I'm going to be the hottest." Nathan gave her a small smirk. Nathan knew he was lucky to marry Haley, in the first place. When he first met her Nathan really didn't think it would work out between them, but was proved wrong about everything he thought about her and Lucas. Though, when he first met Lucas he just wanted to get him off the team, and make him hurt even more.
Nathan felt Haley wrap her small arms around his waist, and lay her head on his chest. Nathan wrapped his arms around her back. "I'm thinking about how hot you're going to look tonight." He flashed her a smile, then kissed her on the lips. When he pulled back he said " I'm also thinking about what we are going to do about the wedding. Everyone wants to come, and see us get married." Nathan knew who he was going to invite without even thinking. Skills, Mouth,Lucas, Brooke of course and Peyton. Nathan was a little scared about inviting Rachel since he heard Haley and Rachel almost got into a fight.
"I heard you and Rachel almost got into it." Nathan never really saw either Rachel or Haley fight at all. He saw Brooke get into a fight once or twice before, but that was the only girl that he really knew get into a fight. Rachel was somewhat ok in Nathan's book, though she tends to flirt with him in front of Haley, making Haley get pissed off.

Haley let another small sigh escape through her lips as she thought about this wedding. She really wanted Dan to be there; and Deb too. Atleast Deb was a little on board with the whole getting married and being happy now. However, Dan--hated the life that Nathan chose. She was always scared of what would happen in Dan dug his claws back into Nathan. She would protect him with her life and knew exactly how to handle Dan; she just didn't want to even look at him anymore.
She heard his cocky answer and lightly hit him; playfully of course and laughed. She hated Nathan when she first met him. He was an arrogant, jerky, self-centered and a player. How he got Haley to marry him and get himself to marry her always amazed her. He was so scared to show how he felt on their date that was set up by Brooke. But making out in the ran did get her a little turned on by Nathan. He was so sweet and so cute that she had no idea what to do; she remembered being overjoyed when he asked her to marry him.
She looked at him as he spoke again, his voice was so deep and sexy that she just wanted more and more of it. She smiled a little as he spoke and said Of course I will be hot. she said with a little wink and raised her eyebrow. She felt his lips on hers and just melted into his arms and looked at him as he spoke about the wedding, she of course had to admit that it was on her mind as always. It was always in her head at least a little bit of the day. She smiled as he spoke and said Of course they do. Its a big day. And I can't wait to marry you....again she said with a smile as she stood up her toes and kissed his lips again.
She then just back down and her smile faded as she heard him speak about Rachel. Oh, she didn't except that one. She looked at Nathan and said I'm sorry. She just gets me so mad. Pressuring herself on you and just making me mad about everything she didn't mean to get into a 'fight' but it just happened. She didn't know what she wanted to do about Rachel and was not planning on inviting her to the wedding...[/sup][/blockquote]
